In the mid to late ‘80’s I bought a SuperPro from old well known Atlanta area steeler Garland Nash. He bought it new and said it was the last instrument Paul Sr. built before he left Sho~Bud. I have no idea the year.

I liked it and played it until 1997 when I got a Carter. The one problem I had was left knee lever pot metal brackets breaking. Eventually a steel playing friend who was a machinist solved the problem with aluminum brackets.

My SuperPro played well, sounded good, served me well, and I made good money playing almost every weekend. (Unlike the lemon junk The Professional I tried to learn to play on but gave me nothing but frustration. But that’s another story….)
