Steel is 1974 Emmons push pull. No amp. Recording direct through a Quilter Superblock into Presonus Interface using Studio One DAW.

No, I did not write this one. It's a Wayne Kemp song Wayne was one of the best country writers in the business.
Yes, I'm doing all the music with the help of Band In A Box, EZ Drummer, EZ Keys, MIDI etc... and my struggled attempt to play and do all the vocals.

| Rick you did a very good job on this song. I think it was better than what I am hearing in today's country music...The Steel was also good. There is still a few folks out there..."Thank God" that can sing a good country song. A while back there was a lady on this forum..."I don't know her name" but she was Awesome...She had a great voice...and could sing as good as anyone that I ever heard. Ricky Davis was playing great steel behind her...and with her country voice...and Ricky's awesome steel work...Well... it was as good as it gets. Thanks for posting a very good country song. |

Thank you Joe. I'm still dialing it in, but it's a really sweet piece of gear. It makes getting the tone and levels a lot easier. I like to record direct when I can. I don't think the Superblock gives you any better sound than you can get other ways, it's just seems to make it easier and faster to get there. I'm learning as I do these things. I'll probably never learn enough to outgrow my 10x10 bedroom studio, but I'm having fun.
