Here's a little intro in the key of D I came up with in B11th tuning played as a Bossa Nova feel just to show B11th is not just for moody Hawaiian songs. There's a ton of untapped potential. This is a little bit of a weird progression but could serve as an intro in a number of genres. I didn't play the rhythms in the attached chart. Quick and dirty direct recording with a little bit of cord noise I didn't bother about.

Very nice, Andy. I can hear that being expanded into a complete tune.

I've been fooling around with a B11 tuning on an 8 string (A, B, C#, D#, F#, A, C# E), although I'm not adept yet.

It's excellent for a jazz feel, and pretty good for blues.

Ray Charles' "What I'd Say" fits pretty well in B11th. Here's a well known B.B, King tune in B11th.

Good stuff, I'm really liking this tuning, my Cole Clark Rickalike now lives in it. Its a distinctly Hawaiian sounding tuning but im able to easily find my familiar bluesy territory when i want it, great that you included BB,i know what I'll be working on today! Thanks Andy

You have been posting a lot of really awesome B11th content lately! I dig it!

By the way, I went back to listen to your very interesting rendition of Blue Moon and the link was dead, could you perhaps post it on Soundcloud?

Thanks, Joe! My book of 18 B11th arrangements is back in print as a PDF download.

I deleted that Blue Moon video 'cause it was a new tuning and a new arrangement and my wonky intonation really bugged me. It's not even on my computer anymore. Here's the arrangement with midi audio.
