This steel is advertised as a Magnatone, for $5,000.
My question isn’t about the price, but if it IS a Magnatone and
what model? Just wondering…
Steve

It's an Aloha. It appears they did come from the Magnatone factory, though some look more like Magnatones than others. $5K is about $4.5K too high.

I figured Noah would beat me to the punch. Smile Yep, google "Aloha lap steel guitar" and look at the images and you'll see similar guitars. Usually attributed to Magnatone because of the similar use of plexiglass.

My cast aluminum Aloha "pizza shovel" (that I bought from Noah) has a pickup that looks very much like it was made by Magnatone.

Thanks Noah, and Bill.
And your price makes sense, I offered the guy $526.00
I appreciate the info.
