| Bought a Fender tonemaster Twin and sold it after a month. Mids are useless. Stick with Peavy 112 or 400 or Quilter |

| I really like my Nashville 112 for pedal steel. For lap steel I use a Roland Cube 80GX. The cube is also good for PSG. |

| Question for you guys with the Milkman half and half. Are you using the 1x12 combo, 1x15 combo, or head? Newer version with xlr out or older version without xlr? |

I have actually had both versions, 12" and 15", quite some time ago. For E9 I couldn't hear a real difference (although I sometimes could pretend to, depending on what day of the week it was...but my ears aren't really fine instruments any more).
Technically, one difference is that (according to folks who claim to know) any 12" has wider dispersion than a 15" (which might be better, or worse, for you).
The Telonics folks said that for C6, with the really low notes, their 15" is noticeably better than their 12", but that it doesn't matter at all for E9...I don't know if that is true for whatever is in the Milkman cabs these days.
I seemed to be easily able to get them to exactly match tonally with a very minor adjustment of EQ on the amps...
The funny thing is that I sort of like the size of the 15" at gigs because the 12" made the amp seem less imposing....the 15" was BIGGER! Sort of more like a Spinal Tap thing...

I have the 1X15" combo version, without the XLR. I play a U-12, so there are some low notes to handle. TBH I never noticed a problem with the factory speaker in my Fox-chip NV112, but my 15" amps--a Twin Reverb Custom 15, a Session 500, and (especially!) the Milkman--all sound better, and can hang with loud six-stringers.

1x15 early combo without XLR.
Sounds fantastic to me and the best Steel Amp I've got by far.
That not saying much though as the only other amps I've played my Encore through are my:
-Peavey Reno with tweeter removed. Sounds surprising good.
-Rode-hard Peavey Vegas. Needs some work...
-Ampeg Rocketbass B100R. Actually pretty good but heavy.
-A couple crappy tiny practice amps.

Later Half & Half with the 12. I'm an E9 player but it's great, small, light and loud. I've owned Peaveys, Fenders, Webb, Steelaire, some rack stuff and other things I can't remember and the Milkman is better than most anything I've tried, except maybe the Webb and it was heavy, old and cranky.
