finishing up a new build for a fellow in NY city named jake. he got lost for awhile, but he checked in today and i made a demo of the guitar he had me make.
his tuning is F A C E F A C E. for sure i dont know that tuning, but that has never stopped me before! lol when i play a tuning i dont know, i plink around and listen for a melody i recognize to come out and just so happens that the top four strings are the melody to samba d'orfeo, so that was the tune. a samba drum loop and an electric bass part and the 8 string and thats it.....no place to hide. i always play too much in these demos, but its a lot of fun and i try to show what the guitar can do.
guitar is 24 3/4" scale with one humbucker with a coil tap. made the guitar with the sides higher than the neck structure. this keeps the strings from being so far above the body and makes the right hand wrist less fatigued.
