I have played lead guitar for years. Dabbled in pedal steel. I have been learning intros and solos from Mickey and Steel pickers. That said, I want to learn backup fills and runs for country songs... want to improvise like I do on my Tele. Any recommendations?

Take your "go to - best lick" on your 6 stg and work it out on steel. Its all the same notes. They are just in different places! JE:-)>

Paul Franklin E9 course. He teaches a section on pads fills and back ups. What Jim Eaton said is also solid advice.
