I love the "Swiss cheese" pedals, drilled out to lighten the weight, I presume! |
Don't even go there, John... US cheese importers once sued Swiss cheese makers in the 80's because allegedly "the holes were TOO dang BIG!" No kidding!
It got splattered all over the papers back then in BIG yellow titles with "cheese holes" because, evidently after all the Swiss had to remind the world that cheese was sold by WEIGHT, not size!
On a more serious note, I was surprised how little strength cutting holes in my front-hung vertical lever paddles (mod on a Excel shown on the Builder's Corner) reduced while keeping a thicker material. Reducing mass almost 40% they retained all the torsion stability I needed. I think those Schild pedals sturdy and light. Lightness is not only a transportability issue, as weight affects acceleration (drag from accelerating mass).

A Little Mental Health Warning:
Tablature KILLS SKILLS.
The uses of Tablature is addictive and has been linked to reduced musical fertility.
Those who produce Tablature did never use it.
I say it humorously, but I mean it. |
