Hey Folks,
I recently was given (yes...I know...my friends are cool) a '47 Rickenbacker NS and the tuners are pretty rough. One strip has been replaced but the originals on the other side are bent and the buttons are disintegrating or missing. Anyone know if there is a drop in replacement? I have a great tech locally who does beautiful work on vintage instruments, but if there is something drop in ready, I can save the wait time. Cheers!

you'll need to measure but Stew Mac sells some decent strip tuners called Golden Age. |

Congrats on having such a great friend and on your new lap steel! The Golden Age tuners are great, however the posts are usually just slightly too large for old Rickenbackers. You may either have to enlarge the holes in the headstock, being VERY careful not to damage the surface, or sand/file/grind down the post to fit. |
