my question is i changed pickups went to a Gle66 my sd10rp had a single coil in it do i use the 2 springs on the GLe66 that were on the single coil? thanks really need help.

Mike, I would use the springs. Otherwise, the pickup might drop to the bottom of the cavity, even though you were trying to adjust it to sit higher.

THANKS Tucker it has 2 screws that stick down should i clip them off

Sorry, Mike, I don't quite understand what screws you're referring to.

A common way to do it is to put the springs around the screws that mount the pickup to the guitar. When you unscrew them to raise the pickup, it's the springs that provide the tension to push it upward.
