Looking for any information I can get on this pickup. All the ones I see have 2 sets of 3 poles. This one has them staggered. I am guessing there is a coil on each one but haven't wanted to dig in to find out. Anyone have any info on this ? (I have not been able to date this, there is no logo, no serial number, the pots are Stackpole but do not have the dated numbering system)

This is the first-generation string-through pickup used from late 1938 to about 1942. It has separate circular coils for each string; they don't fit side by side, which is why they're staggered. The more famous second-generation string-through has just two coils, each covering three strings. |
