I know this is a longshot, but I’m looking for a set of original wide Emmons pedals for a push/pull project I’m working on. Please let me know if you have, or know of where I can get some pedals like this. Thanks |

It is helpful to show a photo of the pedal you seek. There are four and arguably five different versions of the “wide†pedal. Different axle sizes, pad shape and whether there is a hump for the retainer clip or the shaft is straight with a curved retainer clip. (edited to replace "jump" with hump) _________________ Chris Lucker

Thanks Chris and John, here are some pics. Also the spacing appears to be 2 & 3/4 inches center to center of pedal shafts.
If you look close you can see that these pedals were cut to fit a LeGrand pedal spacing; I’ve got all the pieces and it works ok, but I want it to be right and as original as possible. Thanks for looking. |

If it is a single neck, it may have shorter pedal shafts. I cannot tell from your photos. I don’t know if this guitar is the one you want the pedals for or if it is a single neck?
Wide pedals with narrow spacing started in 1972. _________________ Chris Lucker

Chris, It is a 1971 D-10 Emmons fatback; wide pedals; 2 3/4†centers, and yes, this is the guitar I need the pedals for. D-10 - NOT a single neck.

Hi Jody, I have a couple from a '73 fatback S10, same as in your pic. I also have the two S10 pedal rods and cross shafts. The cross shafts wouldn't be useful here but the rods might be, the rods themselves measure 24-3/4", with the thinner diameter top hook. They have the short hex ends w/ #5 & 6. I was really hoping to do some horse trading with all of them -- any chance you have, or could acquire, some bell cranks of the same era that you'd be willing to swap? I actually need 9 or 10. _________________ All lies and jest, still a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest - Paul Simon |
