JUst finished listening to Lloyd Green's playing on Charlie Pride's '68 album, "In Person, Live at Panther Hall". I can't help but really love the steel outside the studio in its organic environment. I'm curious what other additions ya'll might have to the list of great live albums with killer psg. Here's a few of my favorite to get the ball rollin:
Rusty Young - Poco - "Deliverin'" (1971)
Bobby Black - Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen - "We've Got A Live One Here!" (1976)
Ralph Mooney - Waylon Jennings - "Waylon Live" (1976)
John David Call - Pure Prarie League - "Live! Takin' the Stage (1977)

New Riders of the Purple Sage - Veneta, Oregon, 8/27/72 "Field Trip"
NRPS opened for Grateful Dead at the legendary Venetia Oregon 8/27/72 "Sunshine Daydream" show. Buddy Cage is firing on all cylinders here and it was about 100°F that day from what I understand.
Dire Straits - On The Night
Paul Franklin absolutely spices up older Dire Straits songs here "Brothers in Arms" and "Walk of Life" especially.
Emmylou Harris - Last Date
Steve Fishell backs up Emmylou spectacularly here. The whole band is very good on this album. Her cover of Springsteen's "Racing in the Street" and Gram Parsons' "Return of the Grevious Angel" are highlights.

My top vote is for Commander Cody: Live from Deep in the Heart of Texas featuring Bobby Black front and center on both E9 and C6.
Bobby plays great E9 on the wild Cajun opener "Armadillo Stomp"; perhaps the saddest country song ever written, “Down to Seeds & Stems Again Bluesâ€; Buck Owens' weeper "Crying Time"; the Western ““Sunset on the Sageâ€; and great C6 on 1950s rock & roll "Mean Woman Blues"; their classic "Too Much Fun"; rockers like "Riot in Cell Block #9", “I’m Coming Homeâ€, and "Oh Momma Momma"; and more.
This has been one of my favorite LPs since when it came out in the mid-70s.
I'm not the only one who liked it--Live from Deep in the Heart of Texas was named by Rolling Stone as one of the Best 100 Albums of All Time.

Buddy Cage does a great job on this album of proving the pedal steel guitar can be a rhythm instrument. "Hello Mary Lou", in particular.
