First let me say that I have known Keith Hilton since 1980 and have been using a Hilton Volume Pedal for a bunch of years with no problems. About a year ago a man gave me a Hilton Pedal and said his house burned and the pedal was in the house at the time. I figured it was completely ruined. This week I took it to Keith. He looked at the outside and said it very well may be ruined. He took it apart and did a few voltage checks, replaced the shaded strips that controls the level, plugged it into his guitar and....Wow! Worked like a new pedal. This is amazing since the house was completed destroyed. I brought it home and the pedal works perfect! That is one tough pedal! Thanks Keith for building a truly outstanding volume pedal!

I need to add, there was naturally some cosmetic damage
From the heat of the fire but the pedal was still electronically and mechanically fine.

The Hilton certainly presents itself as robust. I use mine for gigs. I keep a Telonics at home - superb pedal but possibly not as beer-proof, and much more expensive to replace. The Hilton is the better value for money in my view.
