Not sure Paul, would like to know. Funny thing is that me and my wife watched the documentary on Alan last night on Amazon Prime, worth watching!

He is really keeping it country, glad you enjoyed it, I’m really looking forward to the full release.

its about friggin time ! Laughing We're dyin' out here without this music with Brent and Paul or Mike ! Laughing

I read all the comments from the WEB listing at the top. Some people who claim to be AJ fans can never just be happy or satisfied. They must be living miserable lives to complain about a new AJ release with chilling Steel guitar and smooth arrangements . Not me, I am very happy that AJ has a new release coming , MAY 14th.

I'm curious how this album will do saleswise, and how much airplay it will get on Today's Hot Country! stations.

I have voluntarily listened to about 15 minutes of mainstream country radio since about the year 2000 - it's all I could take. Sometimes I have been "forced" into it, like sitting in the waiting room at a tire store while getting fresh rubber installed on my car.

Some of us in the past have had the good fortune to post by proxy some items here on the forum from Lloyd Green after communicating via email. Speaking of Lloyd and Alan Jackson, and I hope Lloyd doesn't mind me sharing this - but in an email exchange from 2006 Remember When came up.

Lloyd's break on that tune may very well be my favorite pedal steel solo of all time. I never tire of hearing it. Lloyd commented in reference to to his solo and the status of a lot of the "minimalist" use of pedal steel on records at the time: "I thought "Remember When" with Alan Jackson might help but I think it was met with a giant yawn on Music Row. In the past that solo would have launched a career."

"No brag - just fact" to quote Walter Brennan from a '60s TV western in which he starred.

I will be purchasing this CD in May. There is another one I'm looking forward to coming out in May, John Hiatt with the Jerry Douglas Band. And they will be touring together as well. I have a pair of tickets for the date here in Santa Rosa waiting patiently in a drawer from last August when the show was postponed due to Covid until this coming August.

That was from The Sons Of Will Sonnett.
