Hi guys, I’m often confused with my electronics:
Would a Behringer Euro rack 4-channel mixer work as an ancillary EQ in the signal chain to the amp? Something that could be near the guitar(s) and pedals to dial in one guitar a little differently than another (guitars selected thru an ABC box for example)?.
I’ve got several Behringers gathering dust and in the past used them to add more channels to a PA.

Any issues or damage things to be aware of?

I appreciate in advance your knowledge and help.....
-Brooks

I have done that to use one amp and multiple instruments. No reason not to. Nothing to worry about other than tone. It may be a bit too sterile for your tastes, but you won't know until you try it.

Thanks Larry. I suppose I can jazz it up with pedals to help with the sterility....

I've got a similar behringer mixer on my board, I'm using it to mix in electric or acoustic instruments (via an A/B pedal)
And also Roland Kick and Snare pedals
Gives me the option of headphones or to an amp
I'm running an amp simulation pedal before it on the electric side and an acoustic preamp on the other ( plus a stack of pedals)
Main thing is keep the input levels low to avoid clipping

no reason not to, just be aware of the GAIN staging.

Brooks it's not a big deal you just have to remember that you have both channel gain and MASTER gain . You will want the channel gain as high as you can get it before breaking up and then use the master gain to send signal to your amp.

This would be very similar to plugging into a board and a PA system. Your amp input may be overdriven, so that's what you need to pay attention to.

Brooks
These are great for running headphones to for practice. You get your actual guitar and amp tone as opposed to using one of the mini headphone rigs that give you that “modeled amp” sound.
I have a four channel Yamaha mini mixer i use with headphones to run out the back of my NV 400 . I like it much better than using a Line 6 pod or similar
