The music industry lost a giant.

Many of the recordings we grew up with were processed with Neve electronics.

When I entered the business in 1981, our studio had three Neves: two 8058s (33102s) from 1979 and an 8024 (1073s) from the mid-70s. They were such smooth consoles. All three of them now live active lives in other studios.

I met Rupert Neve at the 1984 Audio Engineering Convention. You was a nice guy. I've since acqired a couple of his products and love them. How many people do you know who are immortalized in a bobble head doll?

I'll miss knowing he was out there designing my tools. RIP Rupert.

LOL Cool clip! And Rupert had a rather large head... Smile

If I had the chance to stand in front of the man, I would feel an enormous rush of a lot of great music and recordings that he one way or another inspired.

Yes, Neve products don't end up in the bone yard. They are cherished and refurbished if not taken apart and resurrected.

Today software is made.

The people who make DAW's stand on Rupert's shoulders.
