Can anyone give me a heads up on this Peavey ,amp I can get one real cheap,I know it’s a bass amp ,wonder what the steel would sound on it

yes it would work fine. just need reverb or delay . good
practice amp and for small gigs... just my 2 cents

Larry..If it is an older model (with the aluminum trim pieces), should make a good steel amp. I used a 'TNT 80' for a while and it sounded fine. |

I used one. Added some reverb. It worked fine for bar room gigs. Plenty loud. |
