This is a Gold Tone Paul Beard Signature Series squareneck resonator ("dobro") guitar with a curly maple body. It is in excellent condition, with just a few minor finish scratches and small dings that are typical and hard to see unless you hold them up to the light at a certain angle. (The white flecks in the photos are reflections). Overall I would rate it as a 9-9.5 out of 10.
It has a genuine Quarterman QD-1 cone installed. These are something of a "gold standard" for resonator cones and have gotten to be a bit hard to find in my experience. If you can find one they sell for upwards of $80.00-$100.00.
There is a Schertler Basik Pickup installed, and the accompanying preamp is included. Typically this system sells for around $350.00 give or take.
There is no stock case, but it will ship in a Fender acoustic guitar case that actually fits pretty well and will certainly protect it adequately.
These sell new for around $1150.00, without a pickup. My price with the pickup is $900.00 plus shipping.
