This is being posted by Rick's wife Debbie. With great hurt and sadness I need to tell you all that Rick passed away on October 27. He was a very healthly man but he was unable to fight Covid. He loved the steel guitar and I will miss listening to him playing.

Rick joined the forum in November 1998, during our first year. He was a active member, helpful to all, for over 20 years. I'm so sorry to hear that he's gone.

My condolences to Debbie and Rick's extended family. Sad

Debbie, I am so sorry for your loss! I also lost my husband, Tommy Dodd on Dec. 4.
I keep hoping I will wake up and it will all be just a dream. Like you, I loved hearing (and watching) my guy play steel! I wish I could listen to his CDs and videos without getting emotional. But steel guitar music was the soundtrack of our lives! How blessed we both are to have shared our lives with men we truly love.
God bless you always, Debbie

Debby, I share your thoughts about Rick. May he rest in peace. God bless Debbie and Donna for standing tall with their husband's and supporting them and their dreams. As players we would be nothing without our spouse to carry the torch and cheer us on.

This is a shock and I am so very sorry to hear this. Rick was a good friend and a good player. He loved steel guitar and always got the sweetest tone out of his Kline. He will be missed. RIP my friend!
Condolences to the family.
