Here I am, having a go at the old chestnut. Soundcloud may go into Autoplay. Still trying to figure that out.

I like it! Some beautiful stuff in there.

Are you playing that crazy guitar from your Soundcloud picture?

I've loved the tune since the first time I heard the Los Indios Tabajaras play it.

Thanks for the kind words. It's not as slick as I would like, but hey, what's a few clams between friends?
Yes Travis, its that crazy guitar. The Pagan. Mr. Green

I'd love to see more pics of The Pagan. Is there a thread somewhere about it?

Maria Elena is one of my favorites.

David, it was an enjoyable listen.

I play Hawaiian music primarily, but in past Hawaiian steel guitar conventions, I have included Maria Elena in my repertoire with a Latin rhythm backup.

Don't worry about the clams, we all have them.
Lovely old song. David, very pretty. Smile

Thanks guys. Maria Elena has been done in several different styles. I think it was originally a waltz. I just used the most convenient backing.

Travis, I built the guitar 14 years ago, and its still not quite finished.

What a cool guitar, I love it. I toy with the idea of building a lap steel, but my woodworking skills are close to non-existent so I have managed to talk myself out of it so far.
