Just got a new Beard legend cone to replace the old cone in my 70s 8 string OMI dobro. Any advice on proper install techniques appreciated. I'm sure I can wing it fine, but any fine points of info appreciated.

Thx!

Is the Beard cone the same diameter as the old one. If not, don't try to force it in. The new cone will have to be altered to match. If they are the same diameter, just make sure the seating lip is clean and smooth and you should be good to go.
