Midi rhythm patterns are very useful in a DAW for a number of applications. These patterns can be used for practice, for composition or recording.

"Midi Type 0" files are single track. All percussion instruments are on one track. Some DAWs recognize Midi Type 0 files as a loop or groove clip making it easy to extend a performance by dragging the right end of the file to the right. The file should duplicate automatically.

"Midi Type 1" files are multi-track. Each percussion instrument such as snare, kick, tom and cymbal has a track. Multi-track makes it easy to edit each instrument performances to your liking.

The midi patterns are grouped by genre and contain intro's, fills and your basic 8 and 12 bar patterns. Enjoy!
