Hey y’all,
I have an 80s Super Pro I bought used a while back, and lately, with an abundance of free time have started to squirrel around with it, adjusting pulls and moving rods etc.
Anyway, I have endeavored to get the lower switch and potentiometer back to working, it seemed as though two solders had come loose, one on the back of the pot, and one bridging the wire from the first pole to the middle pole. Now instead of the switch not making any change, it results in a massive volume drop and major tone roll off, but the potentiometer has no effect on the sound. Is there a wiring diagram available for this setup, or can anyone help me out here?
Thanks
Mr. Jameson |

Should be something like this unless someone changed what it does - the three position switch is obviously the neck selector, the other is just in/out for the tone control knob. The cap is usually in the range of .047uF. That's it.

Well, that all checks out, and still the same problem. Guess it’s time for a new pot. |
