Am I just lazy? I play a Millennium D-10. Came with a heavy duty (emphasis on "heavy") road case. So I made a lightweight case for the body, and had a keyboard case that I use for the legs, pedal board, and all my misc. stuff. So I start at half the weight of most steels, then put them in lightweight split cases. The one for the body has wheels. I have a bad back. If not for this, I don't think I could play pedal steel. I have no desire to carry a 70 lb package around routinely. _________________ Bringing steel guitar to the bukid of Negros Oriental! |

Yep ! Forum Member John Swain created a thread on this exact subject.
36 " Soft Single Rifle Tactical case will reduce weight by +/- 15 pounds . But you still have to carry both cases ! _________________ Emmons L-II , Fender Telecasters, B-Benders
