I've lived a long time but still don't know much. However, I am smart enough to know that when you want to know something, ask an expert.. Also, I have learned that this forum has an assembly of the greatest, and smartest, steel players in the world. Now that I have "buttered you up", tell me all you know about my ShoBud Super Pro, Serial Number 13428. Black lacquer and the only thing I can find not perfect is bar dings between the necks. How old is it and what (IYHO) is it worth? My sincere appreciation to all.

Yes Skip is correct...Sam yours was born July, 1978.
That time; they came standard 8 pedals 6 knee levers.
All parts at that time were chrome plated casted Pot metal; aluminum hex cross-shafts.
Original single/coil Sho~Bud pickups usually wound somewhere in the 19,000 to 19,500 ohms.
Triple Raise/Double Lower changer fingers and 5 position pullers; made for a very accessible timing pedal and knee lever leverages.
Body is Maple with Black die and Nitrocellulose lacquer.
Looks nice and the dings are easily covered up by moisturizing with Old English Lemon Oil. ...wipe on/wipe off.

Ah the super Pro.. I had one and loved it.. very light weight and easy to play, only bad thing about it was the Pot metal i kept breaking knee levers... so i had a machinist copy what was broken and replaced them all... no more problems... enjoy that, it is a great steel!

I wonder sometimes where my Super Pro #14449 went, and I think Bobby Seymour sold it.
