Topic: Screwed down Sho~Bud Fretboards? |

| OK Sho~Bud people clue me in on something. When did Sho~Bud put on screwed dust collector fretboards. What models and for how long? I'm a one and only Sho~Bud owner and have only seen one in person and a few pics here and there. Or did the owners do that themselves? Loren. |

Yes they came out later 1973 and went on all models of Sho~bud until sometime in 1975; unless a person ordering a Sho~bud during that time wanted something other than what was being made and put on current models at that time. Sho~bud was Truly a Custom Steel Guitar shop; they would build per-order.

as Ricky stated, here's a 75 Pro II, screws. but don't be fooled, they were also GLUED down !

| A couple of years ago I played an outdoor gig and it was so hot in the sun my fretboard came unglued and bowed up. Those screws were the only thing that stopped the fretboard from touching the strings! By the time I got home the fretboard had reseated itself and it’s been fine ever since. This is on an LDG from very late ‘75. |

Had a Maverick with a dust collector fretboard. Impossible to keep clean, between the recessed plastic portions between frets and the rough textured plastic material. Never liked them.
