Just to keep the Aussie theme going here are a few pictures of my Cole Clark Lapdog, pre factory fire and with the Horseshoe. Could use a tone circuit but still a belter.

Nice looking instrument. I'm strictly pedals myself, so its significance is lost on me, but handsome nevertheless.

Always thought these were a great-looking take on the Rick pattern, but interesting that the gap in the horseshoe is so wide!
Lee, you say they could use a tone circuit, and I remember another post saying they sounded very bright. Is that what you find? You'd like to be able to roll off the highs? Thanks for any info... |

Just to answer some of the threads, the Lapdog devolved to a non-horseshoe model then the factory burnt down, in the last year or so they have re-emerged with a hollowed out body, mini F Holes and a tone pot, not sure if they are for me as sometimes simplicity and get it right 1st time.
In terms of tone, mine has a lot of body resonance and it has a cutting sound, definitely not for old school swells in the Don Helm style more Ben Harper if I were to try to describe how it takes you (as each instrument has a tendency to do)

Very nice, your description is pretty accurate. I am probably going to add a tone pot to mine, or at least a mini toggle with some different caps.
