CAN SOMONE EXPLAIN TO ME HOW AN ORGANIZATION, AND I USE THAT TERM LIGHTLY BECAUSE THAT IMPLIES THEY ARE ORGANIZED, WHOSE MAJOR BUSINESS IS RECEIVING AND PROCESSING RESERVATIONS "LOSE A RESERVATION". WITH ALL THE ELECTRONIC CAPABILITY THEY HAVE AT THEIR FINGERTIPS IT IS MIND BOGGLING HOW YOU COULD "LOSE" A RESERVATION. IF THIS ONLY HAPPENED ONCE IN A WHILE I COULD UNDERSTAND BUT SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPENS "EVERY YEAR" AT THIS SFAR THIS FACILITY. I'VE EXPERIENCED THEM MYSELF AND HAVE DECIDED IT'S JUST NOT WORTH THE EFFORT AND FRUSTRATION ON TRYING TO GET A RESERVATION..... |

I'm not making excuses as there are none but I believe that the Hotel changed ownership and reservation systems shortly after last years show. Everybody should probably check theirs.
And Larry, if I still have one you might could have mine. I'll sleep in the car if I can take showers in your rm.

THanks for all of the replies. I traditionally book the room about a month after the show. They won't let you book it during the show. I started checking back in October, and they couldn't find it. It is hard to get a room at another hotel since you have to haul steel, amps, seat, speakers, charts, and everything for the 2 classes I'm teaching. You can't always find a cart when you need it, and having to pack it up in your car after each class, then go to another hotel is tough. |
