Years of preparation and experience go into those 15 seconds. Improvisation is meant to sound spontaneous; composition is meant to sound unique. Great composers and great improvisers accomplish both simultaneously. |

In any creative endeavor true Artistry is in improvisation— but without craftsmanship it’s impossible to make great art.
For me, improvisation comes naturally, but over the years I’ve l learned that I need to work hard on my craft if I want to expect other people to respect my art.
