Here's a rare one. Dick Curless singing "China Nights" with JB on steel guitar. Jerry also recorded an instrumental version of this song.

Wow, that are the most Higain sounds I heard from Jerry !!!

Did he use a Marshall amp on these ones ? : )

Jerry played a 1930s Volu-Tone amp in the early days. It couldn't have been more than 5 watts or so and probably "broke up" like crazy. Those two York Brothers songs with the overdriven steel guitar were recorded in 1939. Jerry was only 19 years old!

Yes, pretty sure he just cranked the amp he always used. Only 19 years, wow, that explains the raw energy !
