It's J.D. Crowe and the New South, I have the album. When I first heard it, I was sure it had to be Tom Brumley (listen especially to the 2nd half of the solo), but it isn't. I'll leave it to someone else to fill in the blank.

Yes, I know too. It's a well known player, and one of the best, if not the best. Crowe fans used him on their own records too.
