This is a very unique arrangement of the tune Billy Jean on bass guitar. You have to admire what the players left hand and right hand are independently doing. Very cool!

Brooks, that metronome thing is amazing!
I wish I'd thought to use that on my pupils when I was teaching.
The beauty of it is that it applies to any instrument and any genre.

Len, Victor Wooten’s book “The Music Lesson†is a good insight into his transcendent approach to playing music. It reads like Carlos Casteneda’s “Journey to Ixtlan.â€

Chris Squire was one of my main influences but when I think of bass players that "stayed in their lane" more, which I know is what a lot of people prefer, it's James Jamerson for me...absolute genius of a player.
