I’ve used Weber’s in fender twin. Great speaker
Anyone using Weber 15 in place of peavey black widow??
Curious of opinions

| I had a Michigan 15" in my Nash 400 that I liked a lot. Also had a California 15" in my LTD 400. Liked that too. |

since the twin expects two speakers, you may have to get a rather high wattage one.
i've purchased a few different sized webers and love them but never a 15.
play music!

| i think i'm going to be putting two weber neo mags in my new tonemaster twin. they're supposed to be very similar to jbl d120s, but i'll believe that when i hear it. |

| I have a 4 ohm 15" weber california that I put in a twin reverb and I like it enough that I am now thinking about the 8 ohm version as a replacement for a JBL D140 in a vibrosonic. I went with the paper dust cover rather that the aluminum and would to that again. |

| I put a lot of hours into a bar rig of Dual Showman Reverb into a Weber Cali 15 in a Marrs cab. Although on paper it is pushing the wattage limit, it sounded great and it survived, no problem. |

Speakers in closed-back or ported cabinets will handle considerably more power than they will in open-back cabinets, regardless of the speaker brand. Speakers will also give more audio power out in closed-back or ported cabinets than they will in open-back cabinets.
Open-back speaker cabinets do have a very "airy and open" sound, and they're still preferred by many. But they're the absolute worst when it comes to efficiency and speaker longevity.
Just as in life, everything is a trade-off.  |

| I put a Weber NeoMag 15 in my Twin Reverb years ago. Wonderful sounding speaker! I liked it as much as my D-130F, however the Neo would crap out at high volume. Weber no longer offers a 15 but I would think a pair of NeoMag 12s would be perfect for a Twin. |
