FWIW. these speakers are most likely 4 ohm D-130's. The cabinets appear to be GD Walker Stereo Steel cabinets, especially since the fronts are cut on an angle. GD bought up any used, working or not working, 15" JBL speakers, then reconed them to D-130 specs. Also, I think he upped the wattage to 250 or 300. The speaker model printed on the speaker means zero when you are dealing with Walker cabinets.

Check the ohms. I'll bet they will read 4 instead of 8. I have a pair of these cabinets and that is the case with mine. I also have one labeled D-130 4 ohm and the one mis-labeled sounds exactly the same. To my ear, these are the best sounding speakers I have ever had. The price with cabinets is a great deal.

Those may very well be M151's and not D130's, real ones or recones. The frames/magnets don't look like D series to me. The M series, I believe, has a smaller voice coil, 3" I think, smaller than the D series 4" coils. I used M121 12" speakers at one time. They were awesome speakers. If I had the bucks, these would be mine.

They definitely aren't alnico, and they do say M151-8 on the label!
I've never used the M series, but I have some G series that are great.

When I got my used Stereo Steel cabinets,I contacted GD
on this issue. He said my speakers were originally PA speakers. He sent me a very lengthy email explaining it all. He said when cabinets left his shop, they were D-130's or BW 1501's. He offered a choice of new BW 1501's or JBL's reconed to D-130's. Without a complete history of the owners of these cabinets, there is no way to know what the speaker models really are.

My used cabinets were one owner, so I was able to confirm they were the speakers in the cabinets when they left GD's shop. I liked the speakers so much, I bought a third one labeled D-130 and put it in my Evans SE 200 combo amp.I have an Evans stereo rack mount pre-amp and when I run it through the Walker cabinets, it sounds the same as the speaker in my 200 combo.
