Probably many of you have seen this? Always been a favorite of mine. I like the new version even better than the original by "THE BAND" Lots of good musicians with a variety of instruments.

Thanks for posting this, Bill. I hadn’t seen this one, but the other Playing for Change videos have been amazing. This was a great version of one of my favorite Band songs. Kind of gives me hope for the world, too.

Donny posted it last month as Song from "Easy Rider". Definitely worth the repost and a re-listen for me.

Was it in “Easy Rider”? Been a long time since I’ve seen that one so no memory, but it will always stand as a true classic for the way it taught a generation of young people that cocaine dealers are heroes. Rolling Eyes

Char from Tokyo did some really nice fills and the oud and sitar are more versatile than I would have thought. It really complemented the music.

As a sitar player, I have always told people who are interested in using it in a fusion way, "I can play in any key you want...as long as it's C#!"

Very cool take on an old song… Not sure how they managed to organize this, but it’s very good. Very Happy
