He passed away on a tour of Japan a few days ago. I always liked his understatet but brilliant playing on records of Gene Clark, Rosanne Cash or Marc Benno.

That's tragic! Jerry was a truly great player!

There are countless examples of his imaginative and creative work but, just check out his obligato on this fine Don Everly performnance.

Jerry has been heard to say: "I don't need no stinking bender!" Very Happy

Isn't his first name "Gerry?"

I met Gerry when I supplied a Hammond organ to The Ventures who was on tour with Gerry instead of Nokie.

They had an organ player then.

Godspeed Gerry!

What I always liked about him was that he used a thumbpick (like you're supposed to!!!) The only recording I have of him is the "Swamp Rock" LP by the Ventures. Some great stuff there....JH in Va.
