My heart is sad once again. Mr.Lawton Jiles who I first met in Bakersfield,California in 1965 with my late dear friend Mr.Buck Owens is now in heaven with his wife Ruth Jiles & many other dear friends. R.I.P.Chuck. We will miss you here on earth but never be forgotten by me Uncle Leo = SwampWater Fox Crying or Very sad

I thoroughly enjoyed the little book Mr. Jiles published on the Bakersfield scene in the good old days.

Lawton Jiles - yeah, so sorry to hear about this. I ran into him somewhere a couple of time. Not sure where - my memory is foggy, it's probably been 40-45 years. Mighta' been SoCal, mighta' been Nashville.

Great song writer. I need to dig up the book - somehow, I missed it.
