Get a little 6 or 7 band graphic Equalizer, insert it into either in line or in the effects loop, and dial down the treble.
MSA: Magnificent! Stupendous! Awesome!

I'm using a Sarno Freeloader with my Quilter Steelaire...works very well taming the highs. If your accustomed to the bottom bass that a Peavey provides, you won't get it with the Steelaire.

Obviously tone us subjective.
I am playing a Mullen G2,running through a black box into the Steelaire rackmount with a tc electronic G major in the loop into a Telonics speaker. I have bass at 5, midlows at1, mid highs and treble both somewhere between 5.5 and 7, depending on what effects I am using. The black box really smooths the highs out.
