The one and only picture from last night's honky tonk gig. Amphitheater at the U.S. Botanical Gardens in the shadow of the U.S. Capitol.

My mate and tele player, Brent Progecene.

The most "on time" gig I've ever played. 5P-6:50P. The U.S. Capitol Police had us out in 15 minutes and I was on the road at 7:20PM.

93° at load out but hell, how often do I get a chance to do this?

Great staff. Friendly, happy crowd. Break dancing to Haggard.

It's all good.

Cool.
The Rotunda and tie-die, a great combination.

We had an absolutely great time!

Lot of folks may not know but you don't have to walk more than 2 blocks to be in a residential area, luxury high rises.

On a warm (make that hot) summer evening, many of these folks, almost all "transplants" from all over the country, make there way to the bit of greenery at the Botanical Garden theater for this year's "roots music concert series".

Jones, Haggard,Buck, Young, Price,Loretta, Emmylou and original honky tonk in the style.

Sounds like a great opportunity and good times. They need some serious Honky Tonk there. Good work.
