Someone near me is selling one of these pretty cheap. I can’t find any info on the resistance. Anyone have any experience with these? Looking for a passive backup to my Hilton. _________________ GFI S-10 P U, Moyo Volume, Fender Steel King, Fender 5F4 Super-Amp |

Posts I've seen:
Fv-30h for direct connection to high-impedance gear like electric guitars, 250K ohms
FV-30L for low-impedance gear like synthesizers and stompboxes, 20K ohms

"A few notes on the FV-30 pedals: the low-impedance version is 20k dual-gang, the high-impedance version is 250k single-gang. They have a logarithmic taper, but actually use linear pots. How? The log taper is accomplished mechanically, by the use of three pivots, two of which slide laterally. The shaft of the pot actually turns less per degree of treadle throw at the heel-down than it does at the toe-down. It seems like a better compromise in practice than even real log pots, since they’re just approximations to begin with. But not all ‘audio’ tapers are the same – this one gets to about 33% of max amplitude at half-throw, closer to linear than most."

So maybe not a great choice for pedal steel. Thanks. _________________ GFI S-10 P U, Moyo Volume, Fender Steel King, Fender 5F4 Super-Amp |

Would probably suit my PSG-setup – buffer before VP – perfectly. I use Boss FV-50L that way now. |
