Interesting comments from buyers here.
None had much trouble learning it.. I found the comment from the one who said the nashville steel player that he used on recordings was going to be out of work very
interesting..

Those sound clips were real close, a few not that great but most were really spot on.. For the price of a one song session from a living breathing steel player, you can have all the pedal steel you can stomach forever.. For most studios its a no brainer .... I suppose..... bob

its been around for awhile . I got called not long ago for an overdub on a demo session, to get rid of the emulation Steel track. The problem with all emulation software is the people using them are not "proficient" in what those Instruments are supposed to do musically. Not unlike Drum programs, they sound like a non drummer wrote a Drum program and expected it to sound just like a real drummer is playing on the track. Totally void of personal style and feel which is why various drummers, musicians etc are selected to play on tracks to begin with. Not because they can play but rather HOW THEY play.

True. A keyboard player must think like the instrument he's imitating, and there's no reason he'd be able to unless a pedal steel player, then why do it?

If it looks like the easy way....

"Say fella, is that there pedal steel hard?"
