Yes, this will work fine for pedal steel and lap steel and electric guitars and acoustic guitars. The display is large and very readable even while sitting on the floor. It is powered by a 9 volt battery or a 9 volt power supply, negative tip. $129.99 plus shipping. This item is not yet on my regular website for sale. It can work easily for a guitar player by placing it on the floor and can easily read the notes. It pretty much does all that the Strobo Plus HD does.
