What is this stuff I found in my Oahu Diana?

Rattling around in the pickup cavity of my new-to-me lovely 1954 Diana ware the two broken screws with nuts, and the washer, in the picture. I couldn't find anyplace they might have come from. There also is something rattling around in the jack cavity that I couldn't get out without more disassembly...
I can only surmise that they've been there since it was manufactured in 1954...randomly dropped in by accident, maybe...

This may not answer your question but itâ€™s widely believed that the previous owner had a few loose screws - maybe that explains it...
