1950-53 Fender Dual Professional 8-string console steel. $999 + actual shipping.

Ever wanted that Chris Scruggs/Kayton Roberts sound? Well, this steel really sings--has that early Fender sound that's hard to get out of other non-pedal steels.

Check 'er out:

There's some chrome wear on inside trap pick-up
+ checking and scratches, but overall in really nice shape (see pics).
Tuners all work and hold fine. I JUST put new strings on her
and she plays and sounds really great:

C6 inside neck; A6 outside.

The pickups are nice and hot and pretty well balanced:
Neck 1 Pickup: 13.46K & Neck 2 Pickup: 14.39K
(so these have probably been recharged at some point,
as there is evidence of some re-wiring, although the pots
are original to the guitar (see pics).

Asking $999 + shipping; PP F&F, Money Order,
or personal check for long-time active Forum members.
will also trade for a player-grade 22.5" scale D8
Stringmaster w/ 3 way switch).

Original legs included,

along with original case (handle replaced), who's seen better days, and tho it's still functional w/ all latches working, tho I wouldn't gig with it, might warrant repairing.

PM for more info and/or additional pics.
I pack professionally and with obsessive care.

Hey, buddy... right now the inside neck is C6, outside A6. Strung with Scotty's "semi-flat" strings (I love 'em).

ALL new pics taken of the steel last week (week ending July 21).
