Well, at least what I think is the shortest steel guitar song in The world!

My DAW computer died and I had to recover so I upgraded from a 10 year old version of Reaper to the newest one. I also upgraded from EZDrummer to EZDrummer 2. Steel reverbs are just the Boss RV-6 recorded in stereo. I also used a Nashville tuning acoustic on the rhythm track.

Hear It!

Rhythm track is here:

Sounds great Greg! You might have Kenny Price's record beat. I haven't timed them.

Kenny, the round mound of sound, was awesome. I loved his Happy Tracks song. I used to back up some Wheeling artists and one of them was Kenny Biggs (sp?). He was looked and sang a lot like Kenny!

Kenny Price's gem (co-writer officially), 18 seconds. Gotta be tough to remember the words. Ray Pennington wrote a bunch of Kenny's hit songs including Happy tracks, Walking On New Grass and Grass Won't Grow On A Busy Street.

My song clocks in at 0:19 but fades completely out by 17 seconds.

Garry, Surf City, NC?, we stay at North Top Sail Beach almost every year.

That would be Huntington Beach, CA.
(Huntington Beach is a seaside city within Orange County in Southern California. It is bordered by the Pacific Ocean on the west, and has been long known for its long 8.5 miles of beautiful beach, mild climate, and excellent surfing, earning it the nickname of Surf City.)

Agreed! When we went to Vegas two years ago drove over to the Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel and walked down to the beach (Salt Creek?) area. HUGE waves and great little eateries.

I used a Nashville tuned guitar on the backing track for this song. Here's some more info on that:
