I know this is technically a pedal steel, the first Bigsbys seem to be in that grey area when pedals were meant for retuning rather than melodic use. Anyway, I thought a lot of non pedalers would be interested in the restore of Speedy West's Bigsby by Todd Clinesmith in the current Fretboard Journal

Thanks, I love FJ (they seem to allocate some space to non mainstream instruments each month, besides the fact it's a hometown product)

While looking for other lap/PSG content, there's nto that much besides Cindy Cashdollar, Jon Rauhouse and a Weissenborn video which i can't seem to find, there's this 2012 interview w/Bud ISaacs by Rauhouse

Todd is so deserving of this coverage! His work on Speedy's guitar is impeccable.

FYI ..... Here are the interviews I did for FJ with Bill Asher and Cindy Cashdollar:

Great article, beautiful photos, for those who don't know, about how it was rescued from a garbage dump by Buck Owens and... I won't spoil the rest.

BTW that FJ issue also has a good article on one of Leo Fender's first Tele's the "Lamp switch broadcaster", made when he was feeling pressure to bring "Spanish guitars" to market and some info/pix about the lap steels that he borrowed parts from.

Thanks for posting this Mark. I was not sure if it was going to make it to print, and did not know it did till I saw your post. I am very proud of the restoration and honored to have been a part of it.
I'm in good company in that issue. Robert Armstrong, Mandolin Orange , Johnny Winter ,Benson amps !
