I guess that means it is out of my budget. Smile Good luck with the sale Jack. Looks like a beautiful steel. I've been interested in one for a about a year to convert it to Bob Schaefer's 14 string extended eharp tuning. I have his copedent.

Jack that’s a nice one if she had Julian Tharp tuning on her Dan Burnham I’m sure would
Be interested in her he’s a big BMI man but he also likes Sierra steels.

Just another "two thumbs up" for the Sierra keyless 14. Mine is 5x4, solid as a rock, stays in tune practically forever. I've gone through a couple other S-10's but feel that the 14 is the best all-in-one option short of lugging around a D-10. I even play bass lines on the lowest strings. As highly regarded as is the Sierra line it's always surprising that the prices for these are so low. This one is an out-and-out steal of a steel! Somebody BUY this beauty already.

paul, it is not hard to do, u will need a chart for a 14 string. it has everything u need for a u/14, u just have to pull everything out and go from there....if you areminterested please email me a number to call and we can talk about it....thanks jack

I'm really still a novice steel player, but as best I understand what I play on my Sierra is called "extended E9th. It was Ed Packard's idea, that you could have any four strings together creating a close chord, with fewer pedals. But I use all five knees and four pedals to achieve my (limited) playing goals. Again, I am no pro-level player and in fact more of a pedal steel hobbyist but have HUGE fun playing my fourteen.

just some info on this guitar, first of all it is lightweight. the body of this guitar is exactly the same size as a 12 string. i have just come to the point that sometimes i cannot lift a pp and sometimes i can. so i am tring to sell this guitar in order to purchase a loghter weight d10 or an s10 or maybe even a u12 such as an excel, emmons mullen, etc....thanks jack....also you can set the 14
string up as a u12
