does anybody here know whatever happened to this instrument? Did it ever go into production? Does anybody play one? Very little I can find on this forum they seem to be mentioned briefly around 2011 and 12 and then disappear into internet oblivion.

it seemed like a cool instrument. I have no idea how one would get a hold of one. Any tips?

Thanks
Tal

Came and went pretty fast. I recall discussion of some shared electronics with some other Moog guitars that became unavailable, rendering whatever instruments remained somewhat like beached whales because I also seem to recall discussion of reliability problems.
IOW, if one crossed your path, rarity is not a good enough excuse for a high price. In fact, it would need to be sold cheap because of its inherent unrepairability.

If I am misremembering, I'd be happy to be corrected.

i played one at Namm a few years ago as well as the guitar version. both were actually quite fun but nothing i would really spend money on. if i remember, both had quite a bit of sustain.

play music!

I guess this is not to be confused with the Theromin not too long ago.
