I know that someone has asked this question within the last year on this forum, but I don't believe there was ever a satisfying answer. Why has Dave Hartley seemingly disappeared? I am sure that most all of you know what a beautiful steel player he is. When I first began taking up the steel he was one of the first players I came across on YouTube. He has influenced me tremendously. He plays with such heart and soul but never at the expense of exactness in intonation and rhythm. He was always trying out and demonstrating new gear. I hope that he is OK.

Thank you in advance, and I sincerely hope that I am not asking something that is redundant, something that has already been covered.

Bradshaw

How about a more recent one from Mr. Hartley himself?

I spoke to David via email recently, I think he is just not posting like he use too. The last one I saw was him playing at his 60th. birthday party. Yes, he is one of the "Great Players" on the Forum (of which there are many) and it would be nice to see more recent video's. However we all reach certain stages in life and he may be focusing on other events in his life.

John Russell is a good friend and would know more about his video intentions.
